History

The first services of Faith Baptist Church were held on Sunday, October 20, 1974 in the Orange Hall 72 East Center Street in Manchester.  Pastor James P. Beliasov, missionary with Fellowship of Baptists for Home Missions had come into the area with the purpose of establishing a new Bible-believing church.

In the spring of 1976, we were able to purchase 3.23 acres of land where we are now located on Lake Street and New Bolton Road (Route 44A).  By the spring of 1978 we were able to break ground and start construction of the church building.  The first services held in the new building were on Sunday March 4, 1979.  What a day of rejoicing it was!

To God be all the glory and praise!  He has gathered together this group of believers; He has led this people; He has given the strength; He has made all of this possible.

It is our earnest desire to use this building for God's glory, until Christ comes from Heaven to receive us unto Himself.
